Setting up the spawn tank questions?

When you set up the spawning tank, do you put aged water in it? Do you use any chemicals in the water besides spawn aid, IAL? Do you cycle the water, or add anything like prime or ammonia remover? Do you try to cycle it, or just change it out (siphon), and how frequently when they are spawning? Do you need to do the testing water parameters on the tank to check for high ammonia, etc? Do you do normal tank maintenance like water changes, cleaning the tank for algae, etc? I'm thinking the tank will get very dirty if you don't..and that can't be great for the breeding pair in it, or the (hopefully)eggs hatching? I have a new sponge filter, but will that keep the tank clean like a regular filter (know you can't use one in the spawn tank). Thanks for any answers!

If your not gonna try to be professional, i don't think none of that matters. You just might have a less spawning rate. Just use regular tap water and put some dechlorine.
