Aw man that was me. >< I'm sorry, I've been wanting to breed one of those guys for a while...

Oh, no worries. Good luck with the breeding, Iam sure I'll find another one within next week :)

Just got a female black copper crossray to go with my black copper crossray male. Here's 2 pics of them together.

That will be a good pair. Not only will you be able to preserve the crossray, but she'll quite likely increase the base of his dorsal. And she has plenty of iridescence - so no worries about her being an infertile black.

Thanks Maryanne, I'm new to crowntails but these cross rays always caught my attention when ever I got a chance to see them. My LFS never carry anything beyond regular Cts, Vts and fighter Plakat males which are once in a blue moon. The female I posted looks plump, any chance of her holding eggs? or was it possible she was overfed? I don't think the breeder would sell me a sick fish, done business with her on numerous occasions, both though bidding and private sales.

Females are usually holding eggs :) She looks to be a combination of both well fed and eggy.

Got another male black copper king crowntail, the crossrays on this guy are more prominent than my other male's.
