So I dunno if anyone else has experienced buying from username: BlueBettaUSA.....but I won an auction for 6 unsexed HM's. I did get a warning that there could be some fin nipping, and eye loss. But when I got them, all 6 fish had one eye. Not only that but they aren't HM's, they are HMPK's, which they have a different catagory for them, so I was like...WTF. First off, I am disappointed in the fact that I didn't get what I expected. Second, I think that is borderline animal abuse to keep them all in one tank to the extent that they fight eachother long enough to get that extent of damage. Your suppose to separate them when you notice fighting like that.

So yeah, just a warning to you all who are looking to get bettas off of aquabid.com

I got fish coming from another user on that site, so I will see how that one goes.

Are you sure they are HMPK and not just females or young males?

That really is a shame that they had that level of damage. :/ He has had that version of the auction up for awhile, so you may have just got the leftovers.

Either way, take it up with the seller. You might be able to work something out.

Oh there was no working anything out with them, they guy was beyond rude, trying to belittle me and everything. I had no choice but to royally chew him out.

On a good note, the other shipment from a Thai breeder (BettaAkapes) was shipped, and arrived to the Transhipper today and was shipped today, so tomorrow by noon, I will get them.....EXCITED!!!!! :thaiwave:

That is animal cruelty in my book! :firefurious:

I am having a problem with my transhipper not responding to emails or phone calls.

Has anyone delt with Linda Olson linda_9555@msn.com?

She is holding a bucket worth of money and fish and it is two weeks past the shipping date.

Well, there's Brian Epstein up to his old tricks. The guy is nothing but a swindler selling bad stock and he has been for the past 5 years. I'm sorry you had the misfortune of working with him. He truly is awful.

I bought some of his reds way back when they were only like 10 weeks old but I was happy with the quality of the fish, except they were under fed... but that's compared to the chunkers I get from MartinisMommy <3. However his customer service skills royally suck and I probably won't ever buy from him again. On the whole though the experience wasn't a bad one... I just got a bad vibe from him and stuff like that is very important to me.

I'm sorry your experience was so bad.

Yeah when I breed my bettas, I separate them well sooner than I think most people do. Usually when they are maybe less than 1/2 an inch long. Such to make sure they all grow up healthy with great finnage.

Thanks. I just got in touch with her once she got the fish in her hands. I guess it was the aquabid sellers fault, waiting a month to ship my Bettas out to her.

Just a follow up, I still have yet to see my fish or been able to contact "linda"

I believe I was scammed on 6 very pricey fish. :(
