Honey, its not off topic to talk about the care and well being about your fish. If we didn't care, we wouldn't respond. And definitely get that bigger tank up and running. You need it sooner, not later. A 30 is better than a 10,of course, but we aren't exaggerating about how fast Oscars grow and the need for a larger tank now.

i know, i got everything figured out, i know how fast they grow for example 1 week later the grew 1/4 inch and is starting to lose color and gainging te red color on his stripes.(by losing i mean he was almost completly blac and ow hes lookin like an oscar.) i guess you cold leave care tips, i am a 1st tim owner of these fish aftr all, but the main point was to share with everybody my cool new friend. i have found a cheaper tank for sale and will cut at least 1 month time i having the money and my dad has started paying me 20 dollars a week for yard work so thats cut down 1-2 months as well. the tank will come sooner than expected.

I understand you love your fish and all, but I've been there. Parents are stubborn people and often they won't let you keep such a large tank, especially since its capable of destroying your house if its incorrectly placed. The weight could weaken supports, water damage etc.

Is that an 80 gallon filled with water (I'm assuming) or empty? Just curious.
