I have a female betta that is over three inches long at this time. What length is considered as a giant. Given this mutant gene is not performing at 100 percent. She is currently the size of a king betta. I am inclined to include her with the larger giants. comments.

Well, I decided to get a Petco king betta, and put him in a ten gallon filled half way, He is a little smaller than the female, but they do look similar except for color and sexual morphisms(differences). Some people are calling the kings half giants, but nemisis had better have some growth left in him to keep up with sol. There is a plakat (naughty girl) in another tank that looks like it could be a quarter giant, and she looks has a touch of king colors in the fins. How about calling these variations: Giants, Meat on the table, half giant exports, and king betta.

Giants are 4 inches in body length, if I'm not mistaken.
