Welcome to the UB Rescue Network!

The purpose of this board is to allow members who can not take on any more rescues, or who can not reach a certain rescue, to post regarding bettas - as well as other fish and aquatic reptiles/amphibians/invertebrates - in need of good, permanent homes. It will also serve as a place for willing transporters and foster homes to advertise their services. My hope is that with the addition of this board, we can help place more aquatic life with loving, compassionate owners.
However, before you begin posting, please read the following guidelines for posting:
  • You may post about neglectful conditions in pet stores for phone call/letter-writing purposes only.
  • You may cross-post animals on Petfinder and other pet adoption listings.
  • You may cross-post animals on Craigslist/Online Classified Ads.
  • You may cross-post animals in shelters.
  • You may post animals you know of for adoption from private owners
  • You may not post private adoptions of your own; we have a board for that already.
  • You may not post encouraging people to buy fish from negligent stores.
  • If you are posting about an animal listed on another site, you must include a link to the original posting.
  • If you are willing to foster or transport the animal you are posting about, please note so in the topic.
Pretty easy, right? Good! Please use the following forms to streamline the process. You can still include other relevant info, just be sure to have at least these items. Also be sure to include the Species in the Title and the Location in the Sub-title!:

Listing Negligent Pet Stores
  • Specific Store Location (Address)
  • Phone # of Store
  • Hours of Store
  • Detailed Description of Problem Observed, Including Date
Listing Online Adoption Postings
  • Location of Animal
  • Contact Info of Original Poster
  • Species of Animal
  • Any Special Needs/Health Issues
  • Poster Willing to Transport?
  • Willing to Foster/Transport IF Approved by Poster?
  • Quoted Text of Original Listing
  • Link to Original Listing
Listing Offline Adoptions
  • Location of Animal
  • Contact Info of Current Owner
  • Species of Animal
  • Any Special Needs/Health Issues
  • Conditions of Adoption Set by Current Owner
  • Owner Willing to Transport?
  • Willing to Foster/Transport IF Approved by Owner?

:bettafish: Thanks in advance for your care and compassion for all aquatic life! :bettafish:
