I want to know how I could make an orchid betta fish. I REALLY love the colors together and I hope someone can help! I mean even links to websites would be very helpful! But I'd like a more experienced betta breeder to help me out on this! Thanks so much! I really am trying to make darker bettas :) and I also want some gold dragons (I need help on that genetic type too)Thanks so much! And this is going to be a crowntail pair.

if you want some darker bettas you should just go for some melano black bettas. the only bad thing is that people say that the females are infertile.
Yeah, that's why I'm trying to figure out another way around the corner :). But thanks anyways! I know this is a harder question.

Is it just black females that are infertile, or dark colored ones in general? (My boyfriend has a female that is very dark purple/blue with light blue fins that he wants to breed to my black Delta Tail (see picture of Batman below).
@bettafishocean: I just googled what an orchid betta is- I think that's the most stunning style of fish I've ever seen. :chris: I am sooooooooo figuring out how to get one of those someday!

Black Melano females are almost always infertile. Dark and black females are fertile for the most part.
