I'm in a weird mood, so I thought I'd make a weird topic.

Anyone else out there big into linguistics? I actually took a linguistics class in college and LOVED it! Literally, the tests were FUN! Best and easiest class I've ever had. I wish I could have taken the Sociolinguistics class, but the professor was unable to teach it.

Anyway, I'm fascinated by language - foreign languages of all types, how the English language works, the origin of words, etc. I love finding out that a certain word has its origins in this ancient language or from this background. I'm just an all around language geek!

I took a video lecture course on linguistics in high school. Very cool. :) I took French and Latin in middle school, high school, and my first year of college. I seriously considered learning Arabic and furthering my French and becoming an interpreter, but I decided to study theatre instead.
