I was looking through the different tail types and couldn't find Rose tails.....Here is a photo of my Platinum Rosetail boy "Patron" I think this variety of Betta is simply elegant....

I agree that rosetails are very beautiful. But, the thing to remember is that there are usually birth defects that go along with the rosetail/feathertail trait. They are usually not bred because of the accompanying birth defects (scale issues, etc). My rosetail boy Miles doesn't have half of a ventral fin and his mouth doesn't close all the way. His tail is so overboard that he has to work *really* hard at swimming.. but he is beautiful, and gosh is he sweet!

I have yet to find any defects on this young boy but I will agree with you they do have a lot to carry around as far as tails...I shipped him in from Miami Aquariums along with some others and have been very pleased with the overall health and appearance.......To me they are the ULTIMATE betta!

Patron in all his glory.

Patron is blindingly beautiful. Actually, looking at your signature, all of your bettas are extremely pretty.

I've had several rose tails over the years and I love them. Rose double tail! That's what I want.

Very pretty! I didn't know about rosetails having birth defects though. I had one and he passed after only having him around 5 months, so maybe that's why? He was my favorite betta, so beautiful. Those rosetails are gorgeous! Great find! smile-222.gif
