Went to Petco. Came out with two bettas. THis is one of the better kept petco.. everything seems so clean and no dead fish anywhere.

Anyway.. the male gold HM (shocked to see this color there)

and the female I picked up. She was the only one of all females that was stressed out like this. This pic was taken when we got home. for now, she's in a kritter keeper until she calms down and colors up, then she'll be moving into her new 20 gal home. What color you think she'd turn out to be? Someone said steal blue :)

I love the males colors!

I think once the female settles in she'll be either steel or royal blue, but they can sometimes suprise you.

lol, I don't think I'd like to name a fish after food ;)

the female was starting to color up to a nice blue this morning.. went to get my camera for an update.. then my cat decides to scare her and she's all stripes again :(

ETA: ANother pic of my boy. I am having trouble getting an updated pic of the girl. I think he might have some metallic genes?

deep solid blue I am sure. She was still a bit pale this morning, but she wasn't in deep stripes. I have her in the bathroom where its quiet and dark-ish
